May I remind you that Prisoner: Cell Block H is the best.

Move over Nola! Get out the way Bea! Shove off Vinegar Tits! There’s only one true top dog in Wentworth, one true Queen of the hive and that’s Governor Davo! Erica Davidson, the head of Wentworth Dentention Center was, without question, one of the strongest and most powerful characters in the show’s history. Played by the incredibly talented and stern Patsy King, Erica Davidson remained a key character in the infamous woman’s prison for over 350 classic episodes. Besides a few appearances later on, the release of Volume 12 of Prisoner: Cell Block H sees Davo booted out of the prison. As such, it’s time to celebrate this almighty character! Put your hands together for Queen Erica…

With her stubborness of Marget Thatcher, you wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Mrs. Davidson. Just ask Joan ‘The Freak’, Vera ‘Vinegar Tits’ Bennett or Jim Fletcher – they were constantly arguing with this incredible femme fatale -like  character! Despite her bossy, controlling and threatening demeanor, Erica was one of the few characters who was (on the most part!) respected by the majority of the women. In her reign as head Governor of Wentworth for over three years on our televisions, she had many memorable storylines that kept us all gripped and glued to the small screen.  From the time her neice, Barbara, was sent to Wentworth for dealing with drugs to having a cheeky affair with Mr Reynolds the factory boss, Erica not only Wentworth dramas but her own personal life was filled with tense moments. Shot, kidnapped and even discovering a dark family secret; Erica’s life was always an interesting one. Yet after 350+ episodes and previous attempts of resignation, the Shakespearean actress Patsy King called it a day and decided to leave Wentworth for good…or at least until her next couple of guess appearances!

As Erica may have said with her tightly strung lips, “May I remind you that the 12th Volume of Prisoner: Cell Block H is due for release on the 12th of March (2012). You can order yours from Amazon here. That’ll be all, thank you.”
