Peter Cushing!

When it comes to true icons of horror, there are only a handful of names that are the best of the best. Three of these are undeniably Christopher Lee, Vincent Prince and the wonderful Peter Cushing. To celebrate the exciting new upcoming re-release of Hammer Horror’s Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell (coming soon to DVD/Blu-ray with all previously censored scenes fully restored!), we’ve created the ultimate challenge for lovers of British Horror. How many Peter Cushing movies have you seen? From Nazi Zombie classic Shock Waves to the greatest British horrors including Tales From The Crypt, Horror Express, Dr Terror’s House Of Horror, The Abominable Snowman, The Mummy, The House That Dripped Blood and of course the Hammer Frankenstein series. Find out how many you have seen with this challenge! Peter Cushing is at his best in Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell as the notoriously twisted Baron Frankenstein – a gentleman with a morbid fascination. Don’t miss the fantastic upcoming release – more details on the new forum section!

A Touching Animation

Besides the countless children’s animated movies, there’s a select few aimed mainly at us grown ups. Films that play with the emotions in a beautiful and heart-warming way. There’s no better example of this than the superb new film, Wrinkles. Staring the voice talent of Martin Sheer, this stunning animated movie centers around a care-home, dealing with the onset of alzheimer’s. It’s a beautiful mix of comedy and heartbreaking moments, making for one of the best animation films in years! What are some other top quality award-winning animations for grown ups, such as Wrinkles and Waltz With Bashir? Head to this new forum thread to join the discussion.

New Shameless Releases!

As I’m sure you already know (who could you have missed it?!) Shameless Screen Entertainment announced not one, not two, but THREE brand new titles coming out later this year! Including Lucio Fulci’s Contraband, Deodato’s gruesome The Washing Machine and an excellent Deodato box set, it’s no wonder why we love this yellow label so very much! With promises of some amazing artwork and packaging these are all very exciting! Visit the official Shameless forum for all the latest details…

Until next week, take care and keep the Cult alive!
