Calling All Graphic Novel Lovers!

We all know Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman and countless other comic book heroes that are being turned into movies lately, but what about films based on graphic novels that do not revolve around a Kick-Ass superhero? There’s plenty of great films, with some true cinema classics including The Crow, Akira, Sin City, When The Wind Blows and the excellent new animation Wrinkles. Telling the heartbreaking, emotional tale of several elderly characters in a care home, be sure to have a hanky at the ready as this is one unbelievably beautiful, touching and moving animation. You’ll love it! How many of these adaptations have you seen? Click here to find out!

Hammer Horror

We all love Hammer at Cult Labs. The ultimate horror studio of the UK! A fantastic new release of the Hammer Horror hit, Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell is coming to DVD+Blu-ray double-play in a few weeks time. Packed with great goodies, all previously censored scenes restored and looking better than it ever has, this Frankenstein film is one of the best of Hammer’s impressive repertoire, with Peter Cushing steeling the show as always. Check it out here.

Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Bloody!

What would you do if something you loved was taken away from you…murdered? If you answer is to seek revenge and make them pay, then Revenge For Jolly! is for you. With a great cast full of cameos, including Elijah Wood, the film is full of endless violence, with guns blazing and dark humor throughout. Head to the brand new forum thread for all the details.

Until next week, take care and keep the Cult alive!
