Default Long Term, Will VHS Always Be Collectable ?

I'm still obsessed with VHS, and after watching the excellent Marc Morris documentary last year, felt compelled to attempt to complete my collection of the infamous DPP 72, as well as picking up some horror rarities that have yet to grace a modern format.

Noticed a few weeks back a copy of Mardi Gras Massacre sold for £255.00 on eBay, and was wondering - where will the collectability of VHS be in the years to come ?

Will it gradually fade away like a forgotten format ? or will the pre-cert's, rarities, and titles never to be released on DVD, Blu-ray, streaming or download be forever considered collectable.

I regard my VHS much like my comic book collection, and think that in years to come there will always be a frenzied and competitive collectors market.
