Unfortunately I still haven't seen Men Behind the Sun but I too often see films and wonder what the fuss was all about. Man Bites Dog which I watched recently looked remarkably restraint in terms of violence. I have to admit I didn't find The Nanking Massacre that shocking either from a censorship point of view at least, again the violence is mostly very brief and often lacking in detail. Very, very tame compared to Philosophy of a Knife.
