If it's the one directed by and featuring Kung Fu Panda's dad, it's f*cking great. Wonky, sleazy and very 80s.

That's the one

From Facebook:

New title announcement! Coming from ArrowDrome on 10th June, THE VINEYARD!

AN ISLAND OF DEATH FUELED BY THE BLOOD OF ITS VICTIMS

We’ve all heard that wine has its health benefits. But what if it could help prolong your life … indefinitely?

Crackpot scientist and celebrated winemaker Dr. Elson Po has made the ultimate discovery: the secret to everlasting life. As with all good things, however, there’s an inevitable downside; and a bunch of good-looking and horny youngsters, invited to Dr Po’s island under the premise of an “audition”, are about to find out the hard way. When the vineyard starts to give up its dark secrets, these doomed teens will have to contend not only with Dr. Po and his kung-fu fighting henchmen but also with a rotting gang of marauding zombies!

A startlingly tongue-in-cheek mix of action, body-horror and undead terror, The Vineyard comes courtesy of writer/director/actor James Hong – character actor extraordinaire and star of such genre favourites as Big Trouble in Little China and Blade Runner.

ARROWDROME IS A FLEAPIT SELECTED LIBRARY OF CULT FILMS; VIOLENT, HORRIFIC, SLEAZY, EXPLOITATIVE. TO EXPLORE STEP IN TO THE CULT ARENA! EVERY ARROWDROME RELEASE INCLUDES A REVERSIBLE SLEEVE OF ORIGINAL ARTWORK AND A COLLECTOR’S BOOKLET!

ALSO INCLUDES A TRAILER + BOOKLET BY CRITIC CALUM WADDELL!

Anyone curious about it, the boulevard entertainment release is basically the old anchor bay release. You can probably pick it up for a penny and its decent quality. The arrowdrome one does sound like a decent upgrade though.

Why, because it has a booklet?

and reversible sleeve ect. I was just thinking its something people might want to check out before they pick it up! Alternatively the boulevard edition could save them a few quid if their not fussed. I like the movie so an upgrade for the booklet and reversible cover is on the cards.

Fair point.

I have the Boulevard release which is a very good print. I don't like the film at all though.
