Default ArrowDrome titles moving to Arrow Video?

Since many Arrow Video titles have been moved to ArrowDrome the question I asked myself is: will this also work the other way? Will there me Special Edition Releases in the AV series for films that have already been released as AD?

For instance: "Night of the Living Dead" would be AWESOME as an AV release for obvious reasons.

As far as I know, in general, this won't be happening.

As for NotLD, you can read Arrow's reasoning for why this won't be released on AV Blu-ray here.

Thanks! Since AD uses some of the AV titles I will never have a complete AD collection since I generally hate double dipping. So at least I can now buy the "AD only" releases like McBain wthout the fear for them turning AV anytime soon.

Are Arrow Video going to be fully replaced in future? Are they going to eventually be a thing of the past replaced by Arrow Drome. I hope not as I much prefer the packaging.

No, Arrow Video are staying. They always planned to move some Arrow Video DVDs over to ArrowDrome, and release some of the BD only Arrow Video titles on the ArrowDrome label too. See below for the reasoning for this which I posted in another thread.

The plan, therefore, was always to move these titles to ArrowDrome once stocks ran out. However, the fire at Sony has destroyed all stock not already with retailers and so this has forced the guys at Arrow to put this plan into action sooner than anticipated.
