I worked for musiczone and hmv a long time before that. There were many reasons musiczone went under but none of it was down to sales as almost every store was making huge profits.
Hmv doesn't look great at the min, I was in the other day and most of the dvds have been scaled back and are side on now saving space for ipods and earphones etc.
Either way I doubt there will be many shops left that sell dvds/cds soon and not just because of online shopping. I think the dvd/BD will be replaced with the download, and collections will be libaries on itunes.

Not really, but the thought of no discs to hold is really shit.

It would be easier to store all my films on a hard drive.......sound of Rik running and hiding from the angry mob....
