Just finished watching "The Life and Death of a Porno Gang" and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be. In turns funny, extremely shocking, bleak yet oddly loving and tender at it's core. If you go for one art house shocker this year, make it this one.

Yeah, I got the AWE release along with the director's first film "Made in Serbia" which I've yet to watch. I hope it is also "homely and Serbian" I too am itching to let slip loads of spoilers as there are so many inspired bits in TLADOAPG.

Anyone else seen it or thinking about getting it?

I'll have to pick up the AWE disc at some point. I think Synapse are going to release it in the US.

I've heard from a few folks that this one is much more effective than Serbian Film. May have to grab this release before it hits the states.

I've yet to see "A Serbian Film" as I'm waiting for an uncut English friendly version to be released. TLADOAPG seems to have slipped under the net with little interest in it, if this thread is anything to go by. It's a shame if this is true as it's such a great film, that rewards on so many levels.

Just watched "Made In Serbia" by the director of TLADOAPG. Not sure what to make of it. It's a documentary on the Serbian porn industry yet contains a structured wrap around story that feels fake, as do a lot of the scenes within the film. I've done a little research and it's not a mockumentary, so I'm at a loss as to why it's been made this way. Overall it's pretty dull and lifeless though you do get to see where certain images and ideas started to gestate before being birthed as TLADOAPG. Really disappointing unless you like watching ugly people having ugly sex.

hmmm. considering the amount of psuedo pederasty that gets peddled under the name of porn nowadays...well thats what i get for showing civillians Srpski haha (seen it yet? now THATS ugly) youve peaked my interest...

Still not seen Srpski, waiting for the region 1 uncut release. I'm sure, I read somewhere that "Made in Serbia" is going to be included on the US release of TLADOAPG but for the life of me, can't remember where I read it or who is going to release it.

EDIT:just read on another thread that the US release of Srpski is going to be cut, I'll just wait for Poundland to stock it the UK release!
