Default The Legend of Bruce Lee (TV Series)

Anybody out there seen this?

The Legend of Bruce Lee (TV Series 2008) - IMDb

Chinese 50 hour TV series about Bruce Lee's life, starring Kwok-Kwan Chan (the keeper from Shaolin Soccer) as Bruce, and also featuring Westerners like Michael Jai White (Spawn, Black Dynamite), Mark Dacascos (Drive, Brotherhood of the Wolf) and Ray Park (Star Wars, X-Men) as Chuck Norris! It looks bad-ass, but it's only had a limited broadcast in the States, and the only DVD's I can find are from Japan or Taiwan, but there's no English subtitles and they are around the £200 mark.

A friend of mine is currently 'acquiring' a few episodes from the internet, so I'll report back later my opinions, but I was wondering if anyone else has checked it out at all?

And how good is the likeness?!

Pretty good imo and a considerable improvement over some of the previous Lee 'lookalikes' we've witnessed over the years. Here's hoping the relevant TV series benefits from a British DVD and/or BR release sooner or later.

This tv show is crap!...dont bother the story is terribly told , bad continuity a lot of it is made up. and overall a complete waste of time. He sure looks like Bruce , he was in Shaolin Soccer as the goalie, but watch Bruce Lee My Brother (aka Young Bruce Lee) instead.

Picked this title up on Sunday for a fiver and i believe Revolver Entertainment are soon to be issuing TLOBL on DVD. I'm not too sure whether said series is a U.K. or U.S. only release though.

As far as I'm aware, the Revolver release is the whole series edited down to a 3 hour film! God knows how!

I think action will definitely speak louder than words with this release!
