Default BU's Blu-ray of New York Ripper

I like the look of this release but am curious: does it correct the "out of place scene" problem that most DVD releases suffer from?

You know...I think I'll just get the AWE DVD...annoying that it's more expensive than the Blu-Ray, but that missing scene business will eat away at me otherwise!

The AWE edition is excellent, definitely worth picking up.

The Blu-ray will pay dividends with it's superior AV quality over the AWE SD DVD. The missing portion is a brief shot, not a full scene as such and to forsake the experience of the whole film in Hi Def just to see this shot in standard definition would not be worth it.
It's in my top ten films of all time (I have 4 editions on disc) so take this as an informed opinion!

The 'missing' shot may not even be meant to be there in the export version. It's a freeze-frame that would have happened just before the Intermission in Italian theatres. So all that's missing is a freeze-frame, not even a scene. And if the film is to be shown continuously then that freeze-frame probably shouldn't even be there.

The BU Blu-ray is incredible. Well worth picking up.

does the blu-ray contain the conversation between Malco and his secertary, which is missing from some prints?
