Completely shoddy, Reaps - I hope you manage to get it sorted.

Since Axel have been taken over by the 'perfume syndicate' () I've seen the site get worse and worse.

First there was the fixed customs duty, even though it plainly says on their banners that if you are ordering from the UK, there will be no customs charges to pay. It didn't bother me too much, because I tend to order in bulk anyway, but for those wanting one or two titles it would make Axel stupidly expensive.

I also store a lot of titles that interest me in a wishlist on their site, and have seen prices of those titles steadily creep up over the past few months (admittedly some have gone down). They have also removed a lot of titles from the Axel Rewards program, meaning that if you do have points to redeem; there are slim pickings to choose from (thankfully Criterion titles still seem to be part of the rewards scheme!).

Plus, I usually like to add titles to their database that I want to order that they don't yet stock (I got them to add Killer's Moon and Virgin Witch recently - £8.39 a piece if anyone's interested!), but that option seems to have disappeared with the recent site upgrade.

Anyone know of any other decent site that I can buy in bulk from, whilst avoiding customs charges?

I got a $6.99 coupon and quite honestly I've been struggling to spend it. When they introduced that extra charge prices did drop a little but in general when I've looked, pretty much anything I wanted was back up to top price. Even with the coupon some were still cheaper to buy from Amazon.

If I can get back onto the site I might order Killers Moon at that price. The IPhone app isn't working either.

Just had a look and I could log in but a lot of features are unavailable because they are being upgraded.
I already noticed changes in layout etc...so I guess the site will look better when upgraded.

It used to be that you could search for a title and if unavailable a little prompt button came up to 'Add to database'. They'd then e-mail you to tell you when it was available. All the nice little touches that made me want to order from them seem to be disappearing...

Thanks for the input guys.
I've mailed them, and let's hope they solve the problem.
I've spent a fortune with them since going Blu Ray,so let's hope this goes for something.

That's what Liam told me via e-mail today:

"At this point we're not sure exactly when the point redemption will be back online as we are restructuring the way it works. We apologize for the inconvenience."

At least PlanetAxel answer to inquiries!

Greetings!
