DOG SOLDIERS!
Another cracker of a Brit shocker and one which (successfully) takes a leaf from An American Werewolf In London's black humour book.
One of the few actually which manages to equally blend comedy with shocks and gore.
A winner!

A group of squaddies on a training op in the Scottish Highlands come across a special forces Captain, whose squad has been slaughtered by something 'beastly'.......

Full of recognizable faces,Dog Soldiers is a cracking evening's entertainment.

Not seen it yet?
Then remedy that right away!

I love this film, it works well as both a comedy and a horror. I really like the Britishness of it and for some strange reason that I can't quite explain it reminds me of 70s and 80s British TV.

This one is actually not as bad as you might think. Very far from a masterpiece but still pretty underrated i'd say.

A great film indeed that I regularly revisit. Definitely one of the best Brit horrors of recent years. A sequel also appears to in the works - BD Horror News - 'Dog Soldiers: Red' Teaser Teases 'Dog Soldiers 2'.

Marshall's THE DESCENT is another one
as regards to the DS sequel...hmmm
TD sequel I haven't seen and nor will I as there shouldn't of been one in the first place as the Yanks altered the ending for their audiences stating the original was too dark!

went to uni with one of the soldiers in it. Can't remember his name, he was a few years above me. Nice bloke though. Had a few nice chats with him.
