I seemed everyone (at least everyone here) new the phrase 'Soylent Green IS people!', so didn't consider it to be a spoiler.

Me neither. I haven't seen the film, and only know it for that phrase . . .

The Hills Have Eyes must count although cannibalism is only alluded to rather than being an overriding theme.

In an oblique way, Manhunter and The Silence of the Lambs must count as they both feature a cannibal as one of the main characters, with Hannibal definitely counting because of the Ray Liotta brain scene and, of course, the final scene on the plane.

Thought of another two - The Green Butchers - a Danish black comedy with Delicatessen-style butcher shop cannibalism, starring Mads Mikkelsen. Also, queasy Asian shocker Dumplings . . .

Delicatessen, whilst not strictly a cannibal film would probably be my favourite. Cannibal Holocaust is very near the top of the list, too.

I wouldn't say it's my favourite, but I really liked Meat Grinder, a gory horror film from Thailand in which a woman opens a food store and serves her customers with delicious meat made from anyone who crosses her path.

I love Lost Cannibal World, it's so edgy! Really clever for it's time too!
