Puzzles me why they wont release this ..? Yet have you seen some of the sh*te that get released or in some cases if the films old rerelease the mind boggles...

Old news.Morgan Creek was finally about to go with the director's cut after much fan pressure,but then came the information that only work print material exists.No negatives,no new version folks.

I can not understand how anyone could thing there is no audience for horror in todays market.

Or is it that the mainstream market is so fatted by yet another cut on the same teen slasher style movie that they dont realise the sheer number of other amazing classics about if you only look for them.

same as it ever was...a shame, as i did like the film regardless (its better than LORD imo)

I took a girlfriend to see Nightbreed when it was first released at a local cinema on a Sunday afternoon and we were the only two people there. Loved it then. Love it now.

Even if all there is available are workprints there's nothing stopping them releasing a decent version of the theatrical cut with some deleted scenes as extras. That's the very least they could do.

not sure wether it's too late to sign or not but i have done....Nightbreed is a class movie and i personally would love to own the full version
