Just spotted this on next months release schedule. On further research I see they are releasing Zombie Death House, A Town Called Hell and Sunday In The Country over the next few months. Anyone know who the backers are for this new label - Excalibur ? Are they a big label subsidiary ? Gorgeous artwork - so fingers crossed it'll be a decent transfer too... n.b - just noticed that the sleeve has 'completely uncut' on it yet no record at the BBFC as of yet... |

I've never heard of the label myself. Presumably A Town Called Hell is another release of A Town Called Bastard (with Robert Shaw & Telly Savalas). Quite a mean western but not bad. The BBFC rejected Red Nights Of The Gestapo for cinema in 1979 and then passed it with very heavy cuts 2 years later. Wouldn't fare anywhere near as badly today. |

| Is that the notoriously cheap and awful, one and only film directed by John Saxon? I hope so, I've been intrigued by it for years, be nice to finally see it!

On following the links I see ity is! I have also been trying to get a 'scoped version of the excellent Sunday In The Country for ages too! So fingers crossed! I am now quite excited! Thanks for the heads up re: this label. ![]() |

I have the old Stonevision dvd of A Town Called Hell/Bastard and its anamorphic but cropped. I wonder if this new release will have a proper transfer or will be the same as before
