All good banter-nice to see people laughing instead of arguing.

And no.

The fun has just begun.......

Getting back to Evil Dead, it always amused me that the BBFC always said they followed popular opinion. So they always used to cut ED back in the VHS days, as Ferman reckoned that's what the public wanted and expected. So when ABUK released it uncut, finally, on DVD I had to laugh when it went straight to number one in the sales chart and remained there for weeks. So, nobody wanted to see it uncut, eh, Ferman?

To be fair, I think this signalled a change at the BBFC, as they realised people did want films uncut and that British society wouldn't crumble if these films were available uncensored.

very surprised at this!
Ha I remember last Halloween asking this girl in ASDA if they had a special horror DVD section as they had loads of Halloween costumes and were even running ads for them at the time.
When she said they had EVIL DEAD I must have looked disappointed (because of course I already have it) as she said "HOW SCARY DO YOU WANT IT!!?"

# Picture-in-Picture: Join us! The Undying Legacy of The Evil Dead
# One By One We Will Take You - The Untold Saga of The Evil Dead
# Treasures from the Cutting Room Floor
# At the Drive-In
# Discovering Evil Dead
# Ellen and Drama Teacher
# On-Stage Interview
# Make-Up Test

(I took this from play.com as I couldn't be bothered to go next door and get my copy)

They look fairly self-explanatory overall - At-The Drive In is footage from a Drive-In screening with Bruce Campbell, Raimi's brother (I think, some family member anyway) and a few cast members giving away dvds to the audience after asking Evil Dead-related questions. Good fun.

The quality is great in my opinion, really grainy and 16mm-y but, y'know, in a good way. I actually put this on the BD player and my dvd copy in the dvd and switched between them on the tv to get a side-by-side comparison and the BD looked fantastic for a film made in those conditions. I'd recommend it personally.
