This rings a bell. I thought it was somehow connected with the Pythons - i.e. one of the members starred in the film - , but looking thru the listings on IMDB suggests I am wrong with my assumption

Haha, it's probably keirarts selling that! There's an R2 equivalent for £13 but I'm not *that* bothered about seeing it. As well as the punky stuff I was always drawn to the film because the Manic Street Preachers covered one of the songs (Damn Dog) by the band in the film The Sleez Sisters on their debut album Generation Terrorists

Damn - I'm stupid!

I think it might be 'Consuming Passions' (1988), and yes - Palin and Jones wrote the play that the film was based on

They wrote the TV play of which it was a remake.

Ok I forgot to mention a 4th one,I haven't seen it,I've watched only the final scene and probably is a famous sci-fi movie. It's about the relationship of two human-like androids (or a human and an android) that don't know they are androids and in the end one of them drinks water and dies.I know all this from the description my sister gave me who watched it.I'm talking about 20 or over years ago so my memory is a bit vague

I honestly couldn't tell you, I've not seen it since it first came out on video in the 80s. Sorry.
