Hmm that's a bit odd, cause I can't manage to find it on Zavvi.co.uk, dvd.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk at all, Play have it listed(in adult) for 7.99 but it's out of stock, HMV.co.uk have it in stock for 9.99 but with a different cover (I guess it was the early art sent them)

update:strange it came up when I searched for My Dear Killer, but not Frightened Woman.

I bought FW in the Edinburgh (Princes street) branch of HMV and MYDK here in Bristol (Cribbs Causeway branch), so it would seem the HMV problem is a local one.

Similar story with Belfast HMV.

They'll happily order in for you but there's a lot of folk who don't know what the full Shameless range is except for the same 3 titles they see every time they visit HMV.

And Thankyou for the dvd Almar, very kind.

I "re-arranged" the horror section of my local HMV to ensure that not only were all the Shameless titles at the front but they were also all together!!!
Just doing my bit!!

Zavvi on Oxford Street has given the films decent treatment. There was an end-on display and each had it's own A-Z pocket, complete with it's tagline on the headerboard.

With regard to people rearranging the DVD sections in stores, it's worth exorcising caution. I used to run a DVD section of a chain store and these things always get moved back. Essentially, you're just creating more work for someone who is probably really badly paid. Plus, they'll more than likely get shit from whoever runs the store because it's not something a manager will believe has happened and so will attribute the disorder to laziness on the staffs part. Not really fair. It's like the equivalent to someone moving all of your files about on your computer at work.

If stores aren't stocking titles then it's most likely because they aren't selling. They'll have a stock allowance they have to stick to and they have to use it as productively as possible. If they can sell one New York Ripper dvd every two months or two copies of the Hills Have Eyes 2 remake, they have to stock the title that's going to move. It's not ideal for collectors, but that's how they have to operate to survive.

Titles probably will lose visability in HMV's because they'll be ?5 more expensive than in Zavvi stores. It just means that people will be buying the DVD's elsewhere so it's not really a problem.

Okay I went on a mission yesterday as I was going to Milton Keynes and London, here is my story.

I went to Milton Keynes to Collectormania, looked around that for a couple of hours, then went on a search for Zavvi, I walked around for a good 40-50 minutes, till I checked my portable(basic)satnav and realised I'd gone round in a circle (my sense of direction is not great) I eventually found a shopping centre, only to find it was connected to the one collectormania was in!
I started to walk around and eventually I found Zavvi!

I looked all around trying to find the display or even some Shameless DVDs, none were to be found, they have a porn section, but not a hint of yellow cases to be found anywhere in the store(even in the store room I had a peek into)! I was quite annoyed. Just round the corner there was HMV, I had more success there, I found about 6 different Shameless titles, 4 were at the back, due to alphabetical order I'm sure they will claim, I think different, I picked each title up thoughtfully, then plonked it back down seemingly without though just at the front of the pile. I moved a couple that were quite close alphabetically a little closer together to take a picture.

Then I noticed there was a nice girl there would was picking up various interesting horror movies, and I felt the temptation to try and pull, but then her big boyfriend appeared and I carried on with my quest!

After taking the bus to London, I headed to the Victoria train station, but what should I find as I head though the station but a HMV! Now how can I resist this message from God. I head right on over there and find a good number (at least 6 or 7) Shameless dvds, but space is tight in a railway store so all the discs (except a few) are tightly packed in sideways, so I pick up a few to look at, but once I have them out I find them difficult to fit back into where they came from so I just put them in the slot in front of the front facing dvds as there is space there. I didn't take a picture as it would look quite odd in a store the size of a shoe box with about 10 people all around me, so I moved on.

I'm in Piccadilly now, I enter Zavvi, I think they are onto up, I find the Shameless display rack but there are armed(with walkie talkies, Spielberg style) guarding the rack, luckilly they have their back to me I was going to take a picture posing with the rack but chickened out with the possibility of being caught.

So I took the picture picked up a copy of Rat Man and headed to the check out, where I got a strange look from the rather cute emo shop assistant.

Now with bag in hand with bag in hand I decided I knew what I must do before heading to the Trocadero to play Fighting Mania, visit the nearest HMV, which I did! I scaled the stairs and eventually found the horror section, but I think HMV are onto me, the security guys kept doing sweeps past the horror section, looking over a bit funny, also the display was a bit packed, I picked up and dropped down again a couple (and left one sticking out) but it seems someone had been there before me! I found quite a few out of place already (only out of place as in at the front of a row instead of at the back. I felt they may be onto us and so I made my exit.

The End. (I was going to write this yesterday but I was too pissed)

(on the subject of causing more work for them at the store, I'm only doing what someone who's a bit thick would do, picking up and putting down at the front, except I'm doing it intentionally, also I did it before that plea)

I feel like Professor Chaos.

Do I win the Prize?
(My Dear Killer Phantom of Death or The Frightened Woman would go down nicely)
