I'd say 1984, Dead Ringers, and The Mist also have depressing endings, although none of them as depressing as Combat Shock, imo.

Although the cover is a great deal more colourful than the film, it does have a fairly downbeat message, particularly the 'ordinary guy' with a soldier inside.

I DO like that artwork!

In fact,I'm definetly getting this and going to give it a second go.
