Well, I must stand up for G2G then I feel. Sure, he could have cashed in on the original's treasured postion of greatest romantic comedy ever (imo) by doing just that, revisiting the "old gang" etc. But Forsyth chose a different path, which isn't without it's clunk completely Il admit, but has grown on me over the years.

Yeah everyone to their own,but I seriously doubt it'll grow on me.Doubt I'll ever watch it a second time either. Now what we REALLY need is a decent release of That Sinking Feeling.

And here it is-APRIL!  Let's hope Gregory's Girl,Comfort and Joy and Local Hero get the HD treatment soon! Malachai from Children of the Corn was a big fan of this.....  mr 420 likes this.

I saw Local Hero for the first time late last year (Part of a region 1 Burt Lancaster box set). What a fine film it was. It just goes to show even after being a movie fan for 25 + years there are still so many fine films i don't know about never mind own. The Reaper Man@Cult Labs likes this. |
