I'd have to say The Thing followed closely by Big Trouble and Escape from New York. Just made a great team with John Carpenter. Elvis as well, of course.

I thought he was brilliant in Used Cars as well, the early Robert Zemeckis film. Oh and you've got to say Gabriel Cash is a cool character from Tange & Cash, makes me wish he didn't turn down The Expendables

Never seen Used Cars. Is it a comedy?

Yeah, it's a great one too. Jack Warden's brilliant in it playing two brothers who own rival used car lots.
It has a hilarious scene where they film a promo and put it halfway through a Jimmy Carter speech. Really worth checking out.

No love for CAPTAIN RON?! It's cracking!

Tombstone, Stargate, The Thing, Death Proof, Escape From NY, Big Trouble..., Overboard, Backdraft, Vanilla Sky... the man is a f*cking HERO.

Used Cars is a fantastic film. I'd love to see it on BD too.

Yeah, that is a good point.

...Maybe someone should start up a few comedy/romance threads. I mean it is called 'CULT labs'. Cult film doesn't necessarily mean Horror and Exploitation etc. There's a fair few comedic or romantic cult films.

Old Kurt is still around, He isn't as big now as he used to be I guess, but he is still working in films.
I guess the last BIG film he done was that Tarantino film 'Death Proof'

No one has talked about that one yet and has so far only received 1 vote on the poll.

What did everyone think of 'Death Proof'???

I personally, Loved it!
It's in my top three for Tarantino films.
(Number 1 being Jackie Brown, 2 being Inglorious Basterds then Death Proof as number 3)
