| What's your favourite Hammer film? One option I'm afraid,so yeah VERY tough choice indeed! The results will be most interesting! Where did you first see it? First impressions? Tell us all about them here!

| There are MANY Hammer films I've not listed, mostly earlier movies and TV fare,so apologies in advance for not including them.

Great thread, Reaps. Let me be one of first to throw my vote out there... The Devil Rides Out ![]() Based on the Dennis Wheatley novel of the same name, this is my favourite Hammer horror film. Lee is on top form, and even though some of the effects are a bit dated by today's standards, this is Hammer at its finest! Also, not only my favourite Hammer film, but also one of my top ten horror films aswell.

| I love most of their films! TO THE DEVIL A DAUGHTER is another I've a fondness for, right up until the rock to the head! DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE is another-probably the shock of Lee removing the stake from his heart as Paul the non beliver in God looks on in disbelief. Also has one of the best Count demises as he is impaled on that huge cross. Apparently Lee did his back in wearing that prop!

Strong runners-up to Devil, for me, would be: Brides of Dracula Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell The Plague of the Zombies Quatermass and the Pit More of a thriller, but Paranoiac is also excellent - there's a superb BD from Eureka too, for those who haven't picked it up.

| PLAGUE OF THE ZOMBIES is another classic. To be honest ALL of the Frankenstein films are great. It was great to finally see FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED uncut in the UK. Having to do that rape scene really upset Peter Cushing.
