With Vincenzo mentioning buying Centennial,I thtought it it was nice idea to start this thread to get people's memories of their favourite mini-series.There have been so many, some great and some not so good,so what's everyone's favourites?

In no particular order are some of my favourites ( even if they aren't so good ) from over the years....

Storm Of The Century
Stephen King's Golden Years
Shogun
North And South
Lonesome Dove
V
The Thorn Birds
Celebrity
The Stand
The Last Days of Pompeii
The Sacketts (anything with Sam Elliott is worth watching!)

Roots: The Next Generation wasn't bad either (far better than the boring Rich Man Poor Man Book II). Henry Fonda and a too-brief Marlon Brando were excellent.

Also enjoyed the excellent QB VII, the hugely underrated Evening In Byzantium, and The Forsyte Saga (the original, rather than that senseless remake).
