Default A History of Horror with Mark Gatiss Series 2

MARK GATISS’ A HISTORY OF HORROR RETURNS TO TELEVISION! New Series Announced! | Classic Horror Campaign

This series is supposed to be focusing on European horror, apparently he's recorded an interview with Dario Argento. Hopefully the BBC will show some decent films to accompany the episodes so we'll have some good stuff to watch over Halloween.
Mojo, Pete, Gojirosan and 5 others like this.

I liked the first series, but he did tend to focus on the more popular films like TCM.

Hopefully this will be more varied.

Great news. I loved the first series and one dealing with Euro horror is a definite plus.

This is great news indeed as I really enjoyed the first series but was slightly disappointed by the lack of European horror the first time round. Fingers crossed that they will also look at Oz horror, too!

I'll be interested to see how time is devoted to the Italian side of things.
Bava will surely be covered, but would love to see an in-depth look at all the trends, beyond just a Suspiria love in.

I enjoyed the first series, but I thought they were trying to fit too much into a very short amount of time

Hopefully this series will be longer

My understanding of this, having had a conversation with Jonathon Rigby a couple of months ago, is that this is a one off Euro-special, and not a full series.
