Exclamation 3 new ArrowDrome Action titles for November!

Arrow have announced three new ArrowDrome Action titles for release in November 2012! Enjoy...

Code Name: Wild Geese (ArrowDrome DVD)

Lewis Collins (Who Dares Wins / The Professional) is back in another Macaroni Combat classic from Italian B-movie legend Antonio Margheriti (Cannibal Apocalypse / Commando Leopard), where a team of seasoned mercenaries attempt to cut off the western supply of Heroin by destroying Opium factories in the infamous Golden Triangle.

Now, deep in the Thai jungle, Collins and his deadly band of hired guns hook up with a troop of rebel fighters and steal a helicopter so they can launch a deadly attack on the labs producing the drugs they seek to keep off the streets.

Code Name: Wild Geese is a Euro-action classic with a cast including Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine and Klaus Kinski. It’s another low-budget high-action spectacular saved from 80s video shop hell by ArrowDrome.

ARROWDROME IS A FLEAPIT SELECTED LIBRARY OF CULT FILMS; VIOLENT, HORRIFIC, SLEAZY, EXPLOITATIVE. TO EXPLORE STEP IN TO THE CULT ARENA! EVERY ARROWDROME RELEASE INCLUDES A REVERSIBLE SLEEVE OF ORIGINAL ARTWORK AND A COLLECTOR’S BOOKLET!

ALSO INCLUDES TRAILERS OF ANTONIO MARGHERITI AND LEWIS COLLINS’ WAR TRILOGY + COLLECTOR’S BOOKLET BY JAMES BLACKFORD!

19/11/12
Region 2 PAL
RRP £12.99

Commando Leopard (ArrowDrome DVD)

Directed by the highly regarded Italian shlockmaster Antonio Margheriti (Cannibal Apocalypse / The Last Hunter) and starring Lewis Collins (Who Dares Wins) and renowned cinema mad man Klaus Kinski (Nosferatu), Commado Leopard is a classic Italo-action movie where South American rebels must fight to free their country from the brutal oppression of a fascist dictatorship.

After spectacularly taking out a dam, the rebels become public enemy No.1 for El Presidente, relentlessly pursued through the jungle by Colonel Silvera – played by Kinski at his swivel-eyed best – in an 80s low action classic that gives you exactly what you want, big guns, big explosions and glorious, beautiful, mindless destruction.

Now, find out why the Italian’s ruled the 80s video store in this rental classic from the golden era of Euro-action trash...

ALSO INCLUDES MAKING OF FEATURETTE + COLLECTOR’S BOOKLET BY WRITER HOWARD HUGHES!

The Commander (ArrowDrome DVD)

The third in a triptych of Italian jungle combat adventures that includes Commando Leopard and Code Name: Wild Geese from Euro-trash movie kingpin Antonio Margheriti - The Commander features Lewis Collins (Who Dares Wins) doing what he does best, leading a group of fearless mercenaries into the green hell of a South Asian jungle in order to protect a data disc full of secrets.

On hand to lend a touch of class to proceedings are Lee Van Cleef and Donald Pleasence in an 80s Spaghetti War classic where loud explosions and heavy duty combat combine with secret agent double crossing and murderous corruption.

Can Collins discover who is out to screw him and his hired band of killers as they struggle to survive in this twisting, turning video store staple, reclaimed by ArrowDrome for a new generation of B-movie lovers?

Very nice. And should please some people who were hoping Codename: Wild Geese and The Commander would be released on their own. Judging by the images at the bottom of the covers, i'm predicting these are what we'll see on the reverse...

Is Commander Leopard available as an extra on one of the forthcoming Wild Geese/Who Dares Wins blurays like The Commander is?

I don't know, but I don't think it is. This seems to be the first time we're hearing of this getting a release.

So will the Code Name and The Commander in the new Wild Geese and Who Dares Wins sets just be ports of these disks?

Also might get Commando Leonard if it isn't in a set.

These just popped up out of no where!!

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of people on here were really after this getting a release too. I'm sure at least one person said something like "The Commander? What about Commando Leopard" or something

As I already have WDW and TWG on pre-order, I may skipp the Arrowdrome editon's of CN:WG and DC. CL is a must buy though, and knowing me i'll probably come back for the other two soon!

COMMANDO LEOPARD is the worst of the three.

I assume the 'making of' is the on set footage which features interviews with Lewis Collins and Klaus Kinski and a funny clip of Klaus taking one of his temper tantrums.
Hawkmonger likes this.
