The only version I've seen is the butchered and, quite frankly, nonsensical UK release so I'm really looking forward to this one.

How about a Code Red uncut release? What's wrong with that?

IF it ever comes out, I'd probably buy that too, but I'd prefer an Arrow release for my collection. They tend to have better overall releases than Code Red.

There's probably no reason why we can't have both if the Code Red release sells well and Arrow buy the rights in a year or two then we'll have one to slake our thirst and one for the long haul! We can but hope, anyway.

Woohoo!!

This is great news. I loved the trailer on the Video Nasties documentary dvd.
Seems like a surreal, gory movie and I've been paitiently waiting for an uncut dvd release. This is up there on the top of my "must-see" list of horror movies.

Surely the first uncut dvd release of this video nasty will be a big seller for Code Red?

It would be interesting to see what Arrow would do with this too . Gotta be some awesome head-and-guts-on-the-bed cover Rick or others could concoct.

The date is set, CR has only delayed a couple of titles by a couple of weeks and only cancelled/delayed a couple of titles in their past (due to a rights SNAFU and one or two for a defective issue). No specific date had been announced for NIGHTMARE up til now anyways. In my experience with Arrow and Code Red, both are about on the same level (of course, I've only purchase blu-rays from Arrow). Code Red is actually better with meeting announced release dates too -- that's not a slam just a fact.
