Looking forward to getting my hands on Code Red's new release.Hopefully none of us receive any rattlers (loose discs in the box that are usually scuffed), I hate that!

Seems the reason why only some have shipped is a stock shortage at some web shops.
They are expecting new stock soon though.
So that means the one sent to me is the right version. Phew, I can rest easy for the next 10-14 days!

You and me both and i believe it all depends on what style of double disc case is used for a particular release. Some designs are seemingly better than others imo.

No word from Amazon yet to say my two Nightmare DVDs are on their way but fingers crossed it won't be too long before i receive shipping confirmation.

Here's the specs from the Code Red site:

DVD FEATURES:

- Brand New 16x9 widescreen master
- 16x9 widescreen master in HD from a uncut composite print
- Full frame uncut master
- Audio commentary with Barid Stafford and Cleve Hall
- Making of NIGHTMARE; interview with Baird Stafford, Cleve Hall and Tom Ward
- Trailer

TECHNICAL INFO:

Color
1.78:1
Dolby Digital Mono
ah ok
why did they bother to put both versions if only difference is AR
could have made it a bit cheaper if they just used widescreen HD master.

Amazon never ship before release date so doubt you will get it before 26th

I don't really know what's going on with the 2 aspect ratio's but I do know there's always people who want open matte versions.

I know CR only got their hands on the "better newly discovered print" recently.

PS I wouldn't count on Amazon, doubt they will have much stock.
I suggest you cancel and order from elsewhere (Axel,Importcds etc)
I know Diabolik isn't shipping yet either btw.

The fullscreen version is in OAR,however I think some people will prefer the matted version because it will look better on their 16x9 tv...
