I'm not big on packaging, I'd prefer it if all DVDs came in uniform 7mm cases with black spines with just the title in whatever style the original titling was.

I bought the Digipack versions of the Phantasm and Hellraiser box sets.

(although I'd prefer if they were printed card 7mm cases with nice flat spines, Up the Snap-Case!)

Why did you want that Nouveaux Pictures release reaps, for the artwork, or is it the collector in you?

I've had the Dutch A-Film DVD of Tenebrae for ages, the title of the film is Shadows on the front cover.I'm pretty happy with this disc which features the full uncut print of the movie (I believe the ABUS release is missing around 20 seconds of footage which is all present & correct in the Dutch disc).

I have the Italian Medusa release & it's the same print missing a few seconds, although it's great to view in Italian Language/Eng subs, I could never get it it out of my head while watching the English dub that it was Theresa Russel dubbing Daria!

I am extremely happy with the Swedish release of Tenebre on Smile Entertainment. It's a reissue of the older Star Media release print. Lovely 16:9 anamorphic transfer, uncut (well so far as I can tell - I have seen many, many differing versions of Tenebrae over the years!), PAL, great sleeve design...you can't go wrong. I think I got it from eBay for about £11 or so.

Well worth it IMO, only thing lacking is an Italian lang/Eng sub option.

There are some interesting notes about missing shots and print damage on the DVD Compare overview:
