Default Tenebrae best version?

look guys and gals I have problem. My tenebrae vhs replacement is the anchor bay UK release, still a great film but not the version I had on vhs.

Question - which is the longest most complete version available in either english sub or dub? If any of you read my blog you will realise I am not the biggest fan of argento- at his best he is brilliant but not consistent enough, but at his best argento was always brilliant. Tenebrae for me was a high point that jumped a bar that was set high enough with deep red.

Anyhow, waffle aside, which is the longest or more complete version available?

Oh did mention that its my birthday-39 today

I a goig to celebrate by watching britains got talent then venus in furs then django.

Congrats Herman. At least you're not as old as moi.

I'm not too much help here, as the only version of Tenebrae I have is the copy in Anchor Bay's "Box Of The Banned 2". This restores the BBFC cut (the arm chopping) but whether there's a longer print of the film I don't know.

I picked up the region4 Umbrella release in a shop last week, but I haven't watched it yet.....used to have the Italian Medusa release which is identical to the abuk release......don't know about the French release...the now oop German Raptor release is complete and there is a dutch version under the title Shadow something.....I'll be going for the upcoming Anchor Bay r1 steelbook release..
I'm sure Marc Morris has said that the abuk release is fully uncut.......

From what I've heard the AB version was missing some brief footage due to print damage. According to the IMDB the Japanese and Dutch DVD's include this footage and are completely uncut.

there must be two ancor bay uk versions of this then cos I have seen one which says "uncut" on the box, mine doesn't say this. and only runs for 96 mins

these are the different run times from imdb-

110 min / Italy:96 min (Director's Cut) / USA:101 min (director's cut) / USA:91 min (edited version)

NTSC and PAL versions have different running times, perhaps Vince or Angel can confirm this?
