A Serbian Film Clips

Sharing a new A Serbian Film clip every few days, so pop back...

Here's the first, "Little Wheels".

This brief moment from the film is a prime example of the film's light and shade. Obviously, when we were selecting promo clips, we had to bear in mind the limits of Youtube's content policies, so we selected clips that show the films wider appeal. It would be easy to just throw the films worst excesses up on the forum, out of context, for all the gore freaks, but that's just playing into the hands of those who decorate everything in kneejerk black and white.

"Little Wheels" is a short exchange between father and son, in which the son describes in very innocent terms the feelings he's been getting from the first stirrings of sexuality. The father finds ways to explain things to his son in an appropriate way that won't confuse or frighten the boy...

I added a few more thoughts on this scene when I posted it to the CULT LABS BLOG so head there for extra musings.

When I selected the clips to help promote the film, I had to keep in mind the limits of what could be shared on video upload sites like Youtube. Clearly, anyone reading these threads indepth will by now by fully aware of the X-rated content of much of the movies running time, but there are moments of real emotion, such as last weeks Little Wheels selection.

This weeks clip also avoids anything explicit as we meet the director of a very unusual pornographic film. When his new star questions the secrecy and expense of the production, he's simply asked "Who cares what a porn movies about?"
