Death Wish 2-uncut Status.

Is the only available uncut release of this on dvd from australia?
I know the r1 and r2 versions cut most of the rape scene with the maid,and im sure the australian release,doubled with the original was the only uncut version available. Any help appreciated!

No, the 'uncut' version of the film is available in Brazil - fullscreen (this is the version I have, as it was the first release, way back in 2002), Italy and Spain.

I say 'uncut' because the DVD versions are missing some brief scenes of dialogue which were present in the old Cannon Video release from Greece in the 80s. A Greek friend--who's a certified DEATH WISH nut and all-round expert on Greek releases has told me that this release was actually struck from a workprint.

The notorious rape scenes are fully incut in all the DVD versions mentioned above. If you've never seen this footage, be aware, it's really quite distressing and unlike anything seen in any of the series other entries. The UK DVD is still cut.

Amazon have the double pack,saying both films fully uncut,but its "currently unavailable."

Scandinavian DVD is "uncut", as in "unrated", too...
Well, it's basically the R2 DVD which everybody seems to have gotten outside the UK and those quarters in which MGM holds the rghts.

Well, there were two versions out in Germany, the legit release via MGM is the uncut "R-Rated" version, but there was also a bootleg DVD with the "unrated" version, which had- surprisingly enough- found its way on the original German rental VHS. All of the different releases landed on the dreaded "index"...of couse.

lol yeah its a boot its got the Dutch dvd arkwork (http://www.cdcovers.cc/view/34620/fr...h-wish-2-dutch) rearranged and changed to german but its on a silver sided dvd not a blue/purple dvd and for the price i paid for it 0 its great (german m8s ftw)

My italian aint up to much, is this site ok,and how do you go about ordering,same as any other i take it,as long as i can print me details in my native language,so to speak.

There's an English translation of the site, mate. Just click on the Union Jack icon at the top right of the page...
