Default Swedish Sensationsfilms
Has anyone here read the book from Daniel Ekeroth, detailing Sweden's foray into exploitation cinema in the 70s?

Did a chat with Ekeroth regarding the book a while back which went really well. Figured I'd post again here for anyone who wanted to check it out.

Has anyone seen many of these films? I'm dying to track down a copy of Ninja Mission myself, and I down own a couple here and there from sleaze-meister Joe Sarno!

I'm from Sweden and has the book. The majority of it's content are reviews which are good except for some spoilers. Many of the films which are mentioned in this book are not english friendly but i can try to make a list of some of those who has english subs or possibly english language if anyone is interested.

Puh! I really should be paid for this. Anyway here is a list of some movies which are mentioned in this book. 99% of the titles has been released here in Sweden/Scandinavia but some titles are also/only mentioned by their US release as they are probably easier to get your hands on or because they have a 16:9 transfer like the Synapse/Impulse titles. Thanks I decided to skip the Ingmar Bergman movies even if a few of them are reviewd.

I also must recommend the first two movies on the list. Daniel Ekeroth also claims that Mario Bava & Co could be sued because of the similarities between Arne Mattsson's Mannekäng i Rött and Blood and Black Lace

Really? Will have to check it out, then! I've been trying to score as many films from the book, as possible, but it's been tough going! Are the I Am Curious
films worth a look, in your opinion? I've had them in my hand multiple times...

Surprisingly enough, a couple of Sensationsfilms have made their way into On Demand television here in the States, among them Dagmar's Hot Pants
and Swedish Fly Girls haha.

Sure, i think you should check it out.

Another really good thriller is Mannen på Taket / The Man on the Roof. According to DVDBeaver the swedish release has English subtitles but it's not stated on back of the DVD. I'm not home right now so i can't confirm it. I'll have the info in a few days

Edit: Now i feel stupid. It has English subs. DVDBeaver has a still of it at the first picture:
