Recently watched Rawhead Rex and remember wondering why there were no sequels/prequels.

I'm surprised John Carter didn't become a franchise.

Well i'm not seeing as it flopped and made a loss, but considering Burroughs published 11 Mars novels it had all the ingredients to become more than a one off movie.

Surprised that Neon Maniacs or Nightbreed didn't become a franchise. I know there were plans, they just didn't do well financially...alas...

Off the top of my head - 'The Hills Run Red' and the remake of 'My Bloody Valentine'.

May seem like out of left field, but I really loved seeing Shane Black's The Nice Guys in the theater this year. Would love to revisit those characters again in a sequel.
