What do you all make of Sony's PS MOVE and MS's Project NATAL (working title) . According to both Sony and MS the new motion sensor technology used for MOVE & NATAL is light years ahead of Ninty's Wii , so much so thats its rumoured that Nintendo are currently working on a Wii 2 with similar advanced tech. Both systems launch in Japan in the Autum with a translated £75 price tag for MOVE, though theres no RRP details yet for NATAL . The advanced technology not only detects motion but also depth , Sony's Move via an orbed wand and sub controller while MS's NATAL workes soley by body movement . Both systems will extend the lifespan of both consoles for quite a while , and both companies have stated that there will be no PS4 , or 360 2 anytime soon . So what do you think.? Will you buy in to it.? |

I can't wait for the PS3 Move to come out. Saw a demo video a while back and was blown away by it's capabilities

Yeah Ant, it looks awesome. The first few games with the exception of SOCOM seem like standard Wii fare, but theres some cracking titles lined up for the future. Sony are keen to let dev's and the press have good access to MOVE and the feedback so far has been 100% positive, but MS still arent giving anyone any 'hands on' time with NATAL which is leading to some dev's doubting its capabilities , stating that it looks to good to be true. Personally I hope both deliver. I think its great that both companies are gonna push their respective consoles to their limits for once by developing new technology for them , rather than just launch new machines like they've done in the past. Depth perception motion sensor control sounds like it could change the way we game IF developers utilise it properly. |

Sony's PS3 motion sensing add on, PSMove , is out 17th September, and comes in the form of The PSMove Starter Pack , which includes PSM Wand controller, PS Eye Camera and a Starter disc. The PSM Navigator controller is available seperatley and is similar to the Wii Nun Chuc controller in look and function .(Standard PS3 controller can be used in place of Navigator) No price yet, but GAME are taking Pre Orders with a £10 deposit for the Move Starter Pack and £5 deposit to Pre Order the Navigator controller and each extra PSMove Wand controller. MS's own motion sensing hardware for the 360, Konect , formly known as Natal , is not due out to November. |

Totally agree with you Hammer. I can remember feeling a right prat playing Virtua Cop and waving a big blue gun at the TV when I had a Saturn and I was much younger then. Though I have had the odd fun nite on my Wii with a few mates and lots of larger.! I think PSMove will eventually mature , and offer a good new way to play certain so called ' hardcore ' games and not just be used as a move advanced version of the Wii . With Sony's SCOCOM slated for a PSMove release , as are a few more 'adult' games, Sony seem to be looking to use the Move tech in many different ways , though expect a lot of Wii ware at the beginning . The 360 Konect is another story though , I cant see many ways to use Konect when your body's effectively the controller. |

To be honest, if I was that excited about it, then I would have bought a Wii, long, long, ago. Time will tell... |

Sony have promised that Move will be used in 'hardcore' games when devs get to grips with the tech , though the release games are basically advanced Wii fare. I've played 'hardcore' games with 6 axis features and to be honest I quickly turned it off and went back to standard control . I too will wait till the 2nd gen Move enhanced games appear before I decide on buying as theres a Wii set up in our living room I got for the missus .(Wii Fit etc) I do think it could work quite well with FPS though. |
