Assault Of Darkness METRODOME

When the depths of an old swamp are inadvertently disturbed, the body of a man who was

murdered over 2,000 years ago is awakened and rises to brutally revenge his death. Now, it's

up to a group of strangers lead by a mysterious hunter (Vinnie Jones) to venture in to the

dark wilderness to put an end to the rampaging evil.

Black Dragons ELSTREEHILLENTERTAINMENT

Prior to the Second War II Japan's fiendish Black Dragon Society is hatching an evil plot

with the Nazis. They instruct a brilliant scientist, Dr. Melcher, to travel to Japan on a

secret mission. There he operates on six Japanese conspirators, transforming them to

resemble six American leaders. The actual leaders are murdered and replaced with their

likeness and Dr. Melcher is condemned to a lifetime of imprisonment so the secret may die

with him.

The Killing Room MOMENTUM

In need of some ready cash, four unwitting volunteers sign up what they believe is a paid

marketing study only to realize that they are being used as subjects in a deadly, classified

psychological government program.

Near Dark Optimum Home Entertainment

In the dusty heat of the American southwest, innocent country boy Caleb Colton (Adrian Pasdar) is seduced by a beautiful girl (Jenny Wright) into joining a roving pack of vicious drifters, led by the enigmatic Jesse (Lance Henriksen, Terminator, Aliens). But this is no ordinary band of outlaws. Caleb is now trapped in a nightmare of soulless evil that waits in the shadows, hellish mayhem that thrives on blood; the horror that begins Near Dark.

La Haine Optimum Home Entertainment

Inspired by cinematic classics including Mean Streets, Do the Right Thing and The Battle of Algiers, Mathieu Kassovitz's LA HAINE is arguably the most incendiary, provocative and prescient fi lm to emerge from the `90s. Starkly shot in black and white to show a Paris not on any tourist map, the fi lm deals with France's intolerance towards outsiders, following Vinz (Vincent Cassel, Irreversible, Ocean's 12), Hubert (the magnifi cent Hubert Koundé) and Saïd (Saïd Taghmaoui, Hideous Kinky, Three Kings), three young men trapped in the Parisian economic, ethnic and social underclass. Sensationally premiered at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, LA HAINE saw Kassovitz rewarded with the Best Director prize and subsequently went on to win three Césars (including Best Film). Marked by its unapologetic brutality and vérité style, LA HAINE acted as a compelling wake up call to Europe.

Feast Optimum Home Entertainment

From executive producers Wes Craven, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Chris Moore comes the incredible horror extravaganza Feast.

When a motley crew of strangers find themselves trapped in an isolated tavern, they must band together in a battle for survival against a family of flesh-hungry creatures. Terrifying and full of surprises, Feast turns the screen blood red as the group is devoured one-by-one.

Angel Heart Optimum Home Entertainment

New York, 1955, Private Detective Harry Angel has a new case on his hands. Washed up crooner Johnny Favourite has gone missing. Anybody that might be holding clues is being killed and informants and witnesses are being murdered one by one. The bodies are piling up, time is running out and Harry Angel is being kept awake at night by strange, satanic visions. From the mean streets of New York to the backwoods of New Orleans, Harry suddenly finds himself being dragged into a world of sex, murder, voodoo and death. This is no ordinary case and Harry is no ordinary detective. Directed by Alan Parker, Angel Heart is a deeply disturbing film with an incredibly unsettling atmosphere. A prime example of late eighties neo-noir, it successfully manages to blend elements of detective fiction with dark horror.

A clever ploy by Optimum to cash in on the success of TWILIGHT with that new Bluray artwork?.....

Ahh, but one is a cracking vampire film, whilst the other is a steaming pile of emo-teen adolescent mush! (guess which is which... )

Optimum Home Entertainment are the VIPCO of the Blu Ray world, they take titles that people want and release the worst possible versions of them. Just as VIPCO's "Digitally Remastered" meant it in the loosest sense, Optimum's "True HD" means "Upscaled from a DVD master".

It's possible the release date might be put back even further. Hope not though.
But this has happened before with other "difficult" films.
