Yours truly actually caught some of Singin' In The Rain during last year's Yuletide period and survived! Normally, i'm no fan of '50s cinema unless it's Forbidden Planet but i admit the relevant Gene Kelly dancefest entertained me more than slightly.

Also, Clive Donner's '84 version of A Christmas Carol is aposite viewing imo with a great cast and George C. Scott on typically fantastic form as the super-tight skinflint Ebeneezer Scrooge.
