Default HMV selling second hand DVD's and CD's?

I don't know if it's nationwide, but I popped into HMV in Basingstoke this morning, and there were a few racks of what looked like second-hand DVD's and CD's

The DVD's seemed to be priced around the £2:00 mark, but I don't know about the prices of the CD's

Sadly I didn't have the time to see if there was anything of interest tho

This was a scheme that the company piloted in its Fopp stores first and were offering £1 per disc exchange on most things. I'm sure the stores were swamped with all manner of cack because the staff is a lot more picky now from what I hear and the rate per disc has fallen too.

You pay me to take it off your hands and give it to a good home?

Smacks of desperation this....but then again with some of their prices, they need to sell something!

I bought SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK and BAY OF BLOOD Arrowdrome during the last 2 days-£18 and £12 respectively?

If I didn't have £20 on my points card,I wouldn't have bothered!

They're chasing sales and they're not going to make up lost ground with some of the prices they want.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I was quite surprised by how cheap some of HMV's new release Blu-ray was in store compared to prices I've seen in supermarkets. It's the back catalogue where they seem to take the piss.

I disagree, HMV's instore chart prices were definitely higher than the supermarkets before, mate.

They have always taken the piss with catalogue titles though!

Up here they're usually a few quid dearer than ASDA.
