Watching your favourite films at home on DVD and Blu-Ray is all well and good, but deep down everyone knows these films were made for a room full of people watching it on a massive screen. So the question is which film (or films) would you most like to watch in the theatre environment? I was thinking about it and a film I would really like to see on the big screen is Mad Max II: The Road Warrior. It's such a fantastic looking film that confining it to a home entertainments system (though I will admit some home-set-ups are pretty impressive) seems to do it a bit of a disservice. Also the action packed nature would make it good to watch with other film fans, as we could cheer Max on in his fight against the Humongous. Can you think of a film that would be even better to watch in the cinema? Stick it up here and tell everyone why. |

The Searchers - Just to take in the landscape of Monument Valley. Once Upon a Time in the West - an all time classic. (the first 20 minutes would do) The Wild Bunch I think the great westerns, the above three in particular , deserve to be seen on the biggest screen possible. |

I wouldn't normally say that, but this thread is about the cinema screen, not the films in general. |

Tarkovsky on the big screen would be especially mind-blowing.
