Default CASH ON DEMAND 1961 Quentin Lawrence

Now I know this was made in 1961,but as this section was looking a bit empty,I reckoned we should stick these sort of films in here along with the earlier films.

Anyway, the film which has a classic stand off between Peter Cushing and Andre Morrell just gets better with time.
A superb plot in how to rob a bank without basically lifting a finger,I'm sure many filmakers learned a thing or two from this cracker!

Any other fans?

I love this film!!
I remember it was the first one I watched when I got the Icons Of Suspense set, and was very impressed with it. I like minimalistic movies (small cast, few sets...), and this is a lesson on how to do that.
It is also a film that could be remade today with very small changes, would still work perfectly.

The film that proves Peter Cushing would have made a better fist of it than Bob Diamond.

Cushing,a gent, shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the 'Diamond geezer' Dem!
I hope he ends up in the nick.On the same greenhouse duties as in SCUM!

Anyway, yes indeed an ingenious heist movie.

Think the coppers would believe me if I tried it and told them it was research?

It's pretty great, ain't it? And, to top it off, it's practically Hammer's A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Saw this one for the first time on the Icons Of Suspense set and really enjoyed it. Cushing and Andre Morell are superb.

"Who's Bob Diamond?", he's a low-life f*cking c*nt, that's who Bob Diamond is.Seriously though, he was the boss of Barclays bank who was involved in inter-bank rate rigging. He's now resigned, a very rich man no doubt!

Ah, I see. Must've missed that headline! I'm a bit out of touch.
