You're right to be cynical, film is a cynical business. I think when people sit down and watch the extras, they are going to get the same warm feeling that hits you when you view the features on the LOTR's box sets.

If you've seen them, you'll remember how much of a team effort the whole production was and the warmth of feeling and closeness of cast and crew which didn't come off as forced. It's the same with Hobo when you see the making-of stuff. Here are a bunch of people with a dream, enthusiasm and drive who built something out of thin air and an idea.

Well it goes to show that no matter how much of a film expert you think you are, you can't be right all the time.

Hell, I might even buy it now....even though its still only alright

Default MINI-REVIEWS PLEASE

I want to do a fan reviews blog towards the end of the week.

I've requested 140 character Twitter reviews from followers there but if anyone wants to be quoted on the official site, then try and sum up why you like the movie in a sentence or two and post here.

use my fan review

Hobo is a wicked awesome throwback film to the good ol' Grindhouse movies!
Its full of potty mouthed folk, violence and everything including the kitchen sink!

So I finally got to watch Hobo last night, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I'll try and sum up my thoughts in 140 characters...

Gory as hell, brilliantly written humour, easily one of the best films I've seen in a long time. A truly excellent throwback to a truly great genre.

Well, since I got the Blu-Ray today, I'm off to watch through it and the extras!

What a movie!!! fast moving, no boring bits with explanations, stacked with gore, only critisism is it looks to sharp, needed some film grain like the Planet Terror film, otherwise its a genre classic and the makers and actors must be applauded for their work.

"Eisener shows a very clear competence for movie making and the love for 60s, 70s and 80s exploitation shows in every frame of Hobo"

A quote from my review of Hobo.

A superb throwback/homage to the 'Gore'den Era of the 80's. It's clear that Jason Eisener and co have painstakingly and purposely created a film that looks, sounds and feels like it belongs in the 80's. Destined for Cult status, although I feel it has already gained the notoriety and respect that it so well deserves
