Default Hmv

Went to buy the New release of Love Goddess and also get Satan's Baby from HMV today (Newcastle), after i was unable to find them on the shelves i went to the counter to ask the guy to point me in the right direction.
After checking his system he said they have neither as with them been priced so high they are waiting till the price drops and then the MAY buy it in.

However i could order it in or order online (which would be cheaper), What the ****, I like going to the shop and buying & selecting my DVD's from shelf its part of the collecting for me. I phoned the Metrocenter branch when i got back home and got the same reply from them.

Looks like its online buying of my future shameless collection now.

yeah,i agree about going shopping in hmv { although dont use it that much },looking through the horrors to find the film you went in for, then usually buying another couple aswell. its a part of collecting horror films i enjoy.
i also enjoy bidding on e bay,but sometimes gets out of hand!

I wouldn't trust HMV's in store prices. I ordered the 2 disc DVD of Creepshow from their website for £2.99. Saw it in the Uxbridge branch for £7, then saw it in the Harrow branch for £20!

All in the same week as well!

HMV store prices are so random, I go to the Churchill Square store in Brighton and find Arrow releases for like £12 then walk 2 minutes down the road to their slightly smaller store and find the same copies for a tenner. It's random for different copies of stuff everytime I visit.

Sadly I've had the same reply from many an HMV store regarding cult titles

Nothing worse coming away empty-handed.

Totally agree, I like HMV for stocking some titles but this has really hacked me off now. The last 3 releases i have made the trip to find they are unavailable. Its a release date for God sake.

I tend not to bother going into to HMV anymore, as, like reaps I tend to come out with something completely different to what I was intending to buy (either because they didn't have it, or it was too expensive).

I mainly stick to online purchasing, and buy the odd bargain title from ASDA and Sainsbury's.
