Hi Another of my favourite director's is David Lynch, a modern master of surrealism and general 'weird goings on' type films. My favourite Lynch film is definitely Eraserhead, closely followed by Blue Velvet. But Twin Peaks, after having recently watched it for the first time (along with the film, Fire Walk with Me) has now become my favourite TV series of all time, just because it is so unique and different and still managed to blow my mind nearly twenty years after it originally aired. So, feel free to talk about all things Lynchian here. Thanks. Best regards, LineSix |

The only film that Lynch has done that didn't blow me away is The Straight Story. It's good but very un-Lynch Fave is Wild at Heart...Love everything about this movie I love the way his films really mess with your head. Mulholland Drive is one that half way through it you think that you have fallen asleep and missed an hour! Inland Empire is another...I've watched it once and need to watch it again but need to be alert and alone for 3 hours! |

I watched Mulholland Drive again the other day. Still not sure I fully understand what its about, most people seem to think most of its a dream and I tend to agree. My favourite lynch film is Lost Highway I got to see it on the big screen at the Prince Charles cinema in London not so long ago. Twin Peaks is obvioulsy genius (although it goes off a bit in the second season imo). |

With the exception of THE ELEPHANT MAN,which I never tire of watching,I just can't get into Lynch's other films at all. Believe me,I've tried. On VHS I used to own ERASERHEAD LOST HIGHWAY BLUE VELVET and MULLHOLLAND DRIVE on DVD But I could never last beyond 20-30 minutes. A very acquired taste IMO.

I have never seen any of Lynch's films. I have Blue Velvet, Dune and Elephant Man sitting on the shelf gathering dust. Maybe i should give them a spin.

| "The Elephant Man " is a classic, but I'd start with "Blue Velvet ". Dennis Hopper is the king of loonies in that one.
