The Visual Encyclopedia Of Science Fiction. Edited by Brian Ash.

A 70s tome, it chronologically dated all the "important" events in Sci fi history

Regardless, tis interesting reading.

Anybody seen either of these? Both look quite interesting

World on a Wire (TV Movie 1973) - IMDb

Ruusujen aika (1969) - IMDb

edit: sorry just realised this thread is films you have seen recently.. either way, if anybody has seen these films be interested in their opinion.
I absolutely love World on a Wire. Really retro futurist 70s style to it, like an old Roxy Music album cover. The story is dense but not impenetrable - all about the nature of reality and consciousness. Just about every scene has a reflective surface in it to amplify the multiple worlds theme - the effect is amazing. After watching this I proceed to see another 30+ Fassbinder movies - they're all great (apart from Querelle IMO) but sadly no more sci-fi.

I don't post here much because we are on the breadline but recently Antmumford sold me some very nice Ghibli blu rays - and i added a few others then picked up a few films on the cheap at our local Fopp.

The Ghiblis are being wrapped for the fiancee for her birthday in a few days time.

One of my personal favourite 80's action films, in my opinion very overlooked, has just had it's first ever official DVD release in Germany with anamorphic widescreen and an English language track: The Challenge. So glad to have this.

Some nice 'n cheap U.S. R1s (£3 the lot) can't wait to catch up with One False Move again, taped off the Beeb over a decade ago and the tape gave up the ghost a few years ago so it leaps to the top of my 'to watch' pile.

I bought Old Boy (remake) and Inside Llewyn Davis on the way home this evening. That will be it for a while as I will be at Imagine and Dead by Dawn over the next few weekends.
