The first three Friday the 13th films are really good, with Jason donning the famous hockey mask in the third instalment which, if you can get past the 3D gimmicks, is a solid slasher film. Even some of the latter sequels have their merits.

I completely agree about the sequels to A Nightmare on Elm Street, with the best being Part 3: Dream Warriors and Wes Craven's New Nightmare.

You think? I reckon it's probably the best of them all. Certainly the best made, and it's by far the funniest. It injected some nice new ideas into a tedious franchise that was never very good to begin with.

The concept of Jason in space is a little TOO far fetched even for a slasher!
It just makes me think

Space travel is too far, but an immortal mass murdering killing machine is just fine?

No lol
I meant Jason getting to space etc
Slashers in space is a bit too stupid for me.
But they thats my opinion.

Star Trek is fine for me as it goes with the type of show it is.
Back to the Future again it goes with the genre.

I quite like the ridiculousmess of Jason X to be honest. It's just such a silly idea you can't help but go along with it.

I Sky+ed Freddy Vs Jason last night as I haven't seen it in years. Will be interesting to see what I make of if this time round. I agree with Nos about Friday 13th - the first three make a really solid slasher trilogy. All goes a bit pear-shaped after that.

shame they cut JASON X, as it was a fun film really, a stalk n slasher in space
i thought FREDDY VS JASON was a forgettable film, probably why Fangoria mag didn't nominate it for their best horror of the year as they said there was nothing really interesting about the long awaited film
years
enjoyed 3,4,5 but never seen F13 part 2 or NEW BLOOD, the most cut film out of the franchise,
MANHATTAN was a big bore

Was Jason X cut by the BBFC or the studio?
