Ex Drummer's a strange, but definite 'must see' film.

Finally got round to watching Attack the Block last night.

Very good.

As someone on here said, the kid speak early doors is annoying and nearly had me turning it off, but the characters became more endearing as the film continued.

The aliens were excellent, despite being obviously cheap to create they looked immense and the glowing fangs really worked.

All in all, a bit of gripping, low budget, British made entertainment.

I watched "Zu Warriors of the Magic Mountain". It reminded me of "Donnie Darko". By that I mean I have absolutely no idea what it was about!

Just watched a brit double bill.....

Killers Moon (Alan Birkinshaw, 1978)....this was one from the memory banks, remembered as a grim little film, now i can see clearly now ahem. The checklist.....20 year old "schoolgirls" CHECK......raving loonies in the vicinity CHECK......music score cobbled together to ruin any tension the director may have intended CHECK.....and lastly and leastly, a sordid undertone revelling in rape and murder....

RECOMMENDED!! ahem.
and.....

Assault (Sidney Havers, 1970) Sleazy little thriller featuring Suzy Kendall and Frank Finlay's wig. A sicko is preying on a young girls school. Is it the kindly doctor? Is it the headmistress' husband? Who can tell? After a long wait, this was worth it, even if the library score did detract from some scenes for me. Would probably buy this, if i didn't already have enough As haha.

went to see THE AVENGERS today. First film i've seen in 3D and to behonest it kind of ruined the experience for me. The Film however is great fun, non stop action, comedy and one liners from start to finish. The Hulk completely steals the film and Mark Ruffalo makes the best Bruce Banner. The 3D kind of ruined it for me because the glasses made everything darker , like watching a film in sunglasses.

my local cinema has made it hard to see the movie in 2d by severly limiting the screening times. Avengers needs to be seen 2D imo, the cinematography and color schemes of the film are brilliant and given my past experience of 3d trashing captain america and thor I decided to miss 3d this time round. At first I thought it was a harmless gimmick but 3d is making more and more annoyed.
