Just watched a brit double bill..... Killers Moon (Alan Birkinshaw, 1978)....this was one from the memory banks, remembered as a grim little film, now i can see clearly now ahem. The checklist.....20 year old "schoolgirls" CHECK......raving loonies in the vicinity CHECK......music score cobbled together to ruin any tension the director may have intended CHECK.....and lastly and leastly, a sordid undertone revelling in rape and murder....
RECOMMENDED!! ahem.
and..... Assault (Sidney Havers, 1970) Sleazy little thriller featuring Suzy Kendall and Frank Finlay's wig. A sicko is preying on a young girls school. Is it the kindly doctor? Is it the headmistress' husband? Who can tell? After a long wait, this was worth it, even if the library score did detract from some scenes for me. Would probably buy this, if i didn't already have enough As haha.
