I can't remember if I ordered Vampyr this week or not!

I certainly put an order in with Eureka for a few disks, and I only had a public domain Vampyr before.

What? even with a fully naked lady (yes, you do see breasts and bush) in a really horrific screaming fit whilst being eaten alive?
Blimey it terrified me let alone a 10 year old or younger

You hardly see breasts and bush at all! Deep in shadows, nothing is clear and it's very brief anyway. Besides, nudity is hardly corruptive!

I thought the horror was tame but effective. Most people my generation and younger saw Jaws around 10 or 11 years old. Definite PG material for me.

Being scared is not bad for children and children deserve the joy of monsters and the delicious thrill of "safe fear" as much as adults. Most pre-teens (10 - 14) are more than capable of dealing with the likes of Jaws, I would have thought.

Coming back from the cinema last night and talking to my parents about the certificate they wondered if i'd be interested in taking by 5 Year old brother to see it. An excuse I guess, seeing Jaw's at the cinema two nights in a row isn't half bad.

Totally agree to be honest as I was watching all sorts of stuff at that age and younger. I'm just surprised at the BBFC's leniency that's all.

I thought Death laid an egg was a really great giallo. Watched it yesterday and loved it. Kinda put me in the romantic mood too.
