You don't fancy telling me which are the good ones on which the woeful ones, do you?

Basically, I'm looking at buying about half a dozen DVDs which is generally considered the 'essential' Nazisploitation movies. It's a bit like saying to someone who had never seen a giallo movie but wanted to know where to start "well, you have to buy Deep Red, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Blood and Black Lace and Don't Torture a Duckling - see how you go from there."

I've heard of Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS and a couple of the others but really want to know what are the essential few.

I would recommend the two films that hugely influenced the Italian films as well: The Night Porter (1974) and Salon Kitty (1976). They're much better made than what would come later, but their connection to the genre is undeniable.

Lee Frost's Love Camp 7 even predates these (1969) and is probably the first seed of the genre. It's a mean-spirited, unpleasant film, but relevant to it all.

Dammit! Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS seems to be out of print and extremely expensive. Still, I have ordered Night Porter (with Charlotte Rampling!) But will have found the shop around for some of the other ones. It might be that I've come into this genre a bit too late.

Love Camp 7 - Just buy off Amazon
The Night Porter - R2 United Kingdom - (Anchor Bay)
Salon Kitty - R0 LE America - (Blue Underground) (2 Disc)
SS Experiment Camp - R1 America - (Media Blasters/Exploitation Digital)

Nazisploitation Boxsets

THE NAZISPLOITATION COLLECTION--4 DISCS-UNCUT VERSIONS (Another World Entertainment)
Nazi Cult Collection (6 Disc set) (Dutch)
SS Hell Pack (3 Disc) (Media Blastsres - The Gestapo's Last orgy in here is Cut)

It is uncut? I know it's pretty hard to get hold of in any form, let alone an uncut version!

Edit: I'd never thought of eBay so went there just now, did a search and bought one for £5.80. I'm just like compulsive kind of guy!
