AVOID. its shoddy looking. most of the older ones are finally available in UK...Bloody Moon anyone? but use the site link above, and generally look for the phrase Unrated on (US mainly) the back of the disc covers....

well if you want a crappy looking print, go for it. Grindhouse's is far nicer to look at, might be slightly more to pay out for but quality will out in the end...am i really saying this about CITB?? well yes i am, its a total hoot (unlike the insane Touch of Death, which this film bears similarities with...any way i digress...) i take it you do have a multi region dvd player yes??

im a big Fulci nut btw and think that you should see them in ALL their horrible glory (plus Hardgore suuuuuuck IMO)

welcome the site as well (where ARE my manners??)

If you get a chance check out the 'extreme version' of zombie flesh eaters released around 1999. The bbfc cut some of the eye gouging but didn't remove it. Instead the splinter enters the eye far more quickly and suddenly, probably to stop the scene lingering on the gore.

The bbfc royally screwed this up, the way its editied makes the whole scene much more severe and shocking than the full length sequence. Thereby censoring the movie made it nastier.

made me chuckle.

You might want to think about getting ArrowDrome's Lucio Fulci boxset containing fully uncut versions of three Fulci classics: City of the Living Dead, The Beyond and House by the Cemetery. That's of course if you haven't already got them.

The BBFC were forever doing that. My favourite example was Robocop. By cutting the "crucifixion" scene and the ED-209 "glitch" the censors made the scenes far more brutal.
