Default Psycho Kids!

Hi everyone!

Kids can be a nightmare at times - there's no denying that - and cinema has long played with this idea of evil, psychotic kids. Normally in horror films such as The Omen and The Exorcist, it can often work really well.

There's a new film coming out soon on DVD/Blu-ray called The Aggression Scale which is meant to be a gruesome version of Home Alone. It's about a couple of kids who don't play nicely when a group of thugs attempt to kill them. It also stars Ray Wise from Mad Men and Reaper as well as Derek Mears! The film really takes the psycho kids theme to the extremes - I highly recommend checking this one out!

Sam's blog on the subject - The Aggression Scale: PSYCHO KIDS!

So what are some other Psycho kid films? Which are the best? The worst?

Great titles there SD! Totally forgot about Bloody Birthday though - that's a great little slasher film. Birthday cake anyone?

Not for me, thank you. I seemed to have lost my appetite!

Oh, nearly forgot. If you're planning a trip to Ravensback sooner or later beware of youngsters with palid complexions and black fingernails. They can give you a very 'warm' welcome!

I'd stay away from The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane if i were you. Also, what about Christopher Lee's witchcraft-practising daughter in The House That Dripped Blood, the youngster with special powers ruling over a house of afraid adults in the third segment of The Twilight Zone:The Movie and also the killer kid fresh from the Pet Sematary.

I'd keep my eye on Baron Frankenstein's offspring too in Flesh For Frankenstein. Just ask Nicholas the shepherd!

Not forgetting The Bad Seed, Pet Sematary and The Good Son. Just thought I'd mention those three as the others that spring to mind have already been listed. I suppose Orphan kind of fits in too. Oh, and check out the kids in the Priest scene in Viva la Muerte. Now that's a really strange sequence.
